coaching rox!

been super busy coaching... n it was all worth it. shall give an update below.. in reverse order. ooh!

SK1 (31st may - 4th june)
a tiring 5 days from 7:30am til 12am. first two days were dull as i didnt know the coaches well, and i kinda dreaded it. terribly homesick. tho my kids were pretty nice to me. nevertheless, the low energy level resulted in slight depression and low resistance n i succumbed slowly to a mini flu (which only appeared when im home but disappear when im in the training grounds). come 3rd day, the energy level shot up sky high, lotsa rapport was built and i was hopping around like mad, feeling super super high! cant really recall what happened. tho i noe part of the reason was getting to know a very special assistant coach better. thank you nicholas for the hugs and support! this was the most memorable camp i've ever taken all because of you...

the last day was pretty touching. little cassandra cried in my arms before leaving cos she missed us. my heart broke when her tears fell. super super cute gal who was rather close to me even tho she isnt from my group. cheryl and desmond kissed me a total of 6 times too... very touched. at least i noe dat this camp made a difference to at least 3 kids in my group (hopefully). who would think dat these group of GODZILLAs [- cheryl, desmond, jacob, sean, stefanie, wan shan] who do not really listen to me (cos im too lenient with them) would transform into little angels? muz thank yy, chuan lay n don for it. they have helped me tame my group so much in the 5 days. very grateful for their support. ooh.

hua yi secondary sch 3T1
2 days with a total of 4.5 hours spent coaching with kelvin aka toro "look-a-like" [oh boy, the gals love him.. ha]. a last minute decision to take it up with absolutely no regrets. these students from 3T1 were amazing. lotsa different students with different levels of energy and special characteristics and creativity. woah. eye opener. even tho the time spent with them was short, the rapport built was pretty strong. n they were the ones who changed my outlook on coaching. they gave new meaning to coaching. n because of them, we felt like campus superstars. on the last day, the gals took sooo many photos with us. n asked for our autographs... ha. [tho my 'dream' of becoming an on-screen superstar would not be realised in reality, this is a pretty good alternative too.. hee] next, they made a poster for kelvin n me, and even walked us out of the gate. super sweet of them rite? amazing people.
